New York Post: Fast-Lane Bus Woes

The MTA's new express buses may be faster, but good luck trying to figure out how to board them.
The buses and express lanes on First and Second avenues have sped up trips along the East Side by an impressive 19 percent, a new report says.
But riders are extremely confused about how to use the system's streetside fare-payment machines -- and disabled passengers are having trouble boarding the new vehicles, says the survey by Councilwoman Jessica Lappin.
Lappin yesterday released a "report card" about the so-called Select Bus Service -- which runs from East 125th to Houston streets -- and gave it only a B-minus.
The report noted that "residents have voiced complaints about long wait times for buses, broken ticket machines, uncooperative drivers and problems coordinating between local and SBS buses."
